MINNEAPOLIS, USA April 23rd  Wisdom Gaming today announced an expansion of their partnership with Riot Games to support the Teamfight Tactics competitive tournament circuit in North America (NA). Wisdom will be producing broadcasts and handling tournament organization on behalf of Riot for the entirety of TFT Reckoning (Set 5) in advance of the TFT Reckoning World Championship this fall.

As part of this partnership, Wisdom will be managing the newly launched NA TFT Esports website, designed to be a dedicated hub for the North American TFT esports ecosystem. This site will house event standings, information, and rules, and will link to community content created by Wisdom’s brand Giant Slayer.

The NA competitive circuit for TFT Reckoning will give players the opportunity to climb towards the TFT Reckoning World Championship through qualification in ladder rankings and participation in multiple tournaments.

Wisdom is excited to bring back the Challenger Series, now featuring 16 players in four different two-day events. Along with an upgraded Challenger Series, two new 128-player tournaments — the Dawnbringer Cup (May 21-23) and Nightbringer Cup (June 18-20) — will allow players to qualify for the Reckoning Mid-Set Finale. Players will be chosen for these events based on their in-game TFT ladder rankings. The four winners from the Challenger Series, along with 12 from the Dawnbringer Cup and 16 from the Nightbringer Cup, will be granted automatic entry to the Finale.

The Reckoning Mid-Set Finale, set for July 15-18, will see the top 32 NA players compete for a $20,000 prize pool and a spot in the NA Regional Finals. The top four players will advance to the NA Regional Finals along with 10 players from Set 5’s leaderboard and two players from Set 5.5’s leaderboard.

The NA Regional Finals will culminate in the top 16 players battling it out for their share of the $25,000 prize pool and a spot to represent NA in the TFT Reckoning World Championship. Events will be broadcast on both Wisdom Gaming’s Giant Slayer channel and on Riot Games’ official streaming channel.

In addition to supporting Riot in their official initiatives and events for TFT, Wisdom’s goal is to continue growing the TFT community and competitive scene through their own content brand, Giant Slayer. By partnering with Riot, Wisdom is able to help build the North American esports ecosystem for Teamfight Tactics in 2021 with a specific focus on supporting the community and competitive players.

“We’re thrilled to continue working with Riot to support the competitive TFT scene in Set 5,” says Jaycie Gluck, VP of Media at Wisdom Gaming. “We’ve been producing TFT content for over a year now and still value it as a core component to our Giant Slayer brand. This partnership allows us to continue telling player stories and celebrating hype moments in a community that we cherish.”

“We couldn’t be happier to once again partner with Wisdom on competitive TFT in North America,”  says Matthew Archambault, Head of NA/OCE Esports Partnerships. “Their track record makes them an obvious choice to help us run the best season of NA TFT esports yet, and they’ll play an integral role in how we deliver top-quality tournaments and broadcasts to players throughout TFT Reckoning.”
