Wisdom is excited to announce partnership with Riot Games in its North American esports Regional Qualifier Series for Teamfight Tactics’ Set 4!  Riot will be providing additional details regarding the Fates Championship in the coming weeks.

Wisdom will be hosting the first of four Riot-official Qualifier Tournaments on its Giant Slayer-branded channels, with the finals taking place on the Riot Games Twitch channel. This event, known as the TFT NA Qualifier 1 Hosted by Giant Slayer, will take place on Nov. 20-22, with three ways for players to qualify:

  • 8 players – an open qualifier bracket hosted by Team Liquid on Nov 13-15, for which registration details will be provided at a later date
  • 14 players – the TFT leaderboard, additional details for which are below
  • 2 players – Giant Slayer’s Challenger Series events, details below

As part of this partnership, Wisdom will operate Riot’s official ladder snapshots for the entirety of Set 4. These will be taken weekly on Wednesdays, starting Nov. 4 at 12:01AM PST, and will accumulate throughout the Set to provide one method of qualification to each of the major events as well as the NA Regional Finals at the end of the set.

Points will be distributed to the top 100 players according to their placement on the ladder at the time of each snapshot. Please note that players must play a minimum of 10 ranked games each week to be eligible for that week’s points. Additionally, only permanent NA residents and non-Riot employees are eligible for tournament invites based on ladder snapshots.

The top contenders in the Giant Slayer TFT Qualifier will earn slots in the second TFT NA Qualifier, as well as points towards qualification into the NA Regional Finals. Players will also compete for their share of a $5k prize pool.

Additionally, Wisdom is excited to announce a new TFT competitive series, The Challenger Series, with a prize pool provided by Riot.

The Challenger Series will run throughout Set 4 and offer some of the best North American TFT players another opportunity to qualify for official esports events leading up to the North American Regional Finals. Invites will be sent to the top eight players from the previous ladder snapshot (disregarding accumulated points and minimum game limits), and the winners of these events will earn an invitation to the Qualifier Tournament on Nov. 20-22. Mark your calendars – these will take place on Mondays, with the first two on Nov. 9 and Nov. 16, both at 8PM EST.

Stay tuned to the Giant SlayerTFT Twitter account for more information in the coming weeks as we gear up for some of the best tacticians across North America to enter the arena of Set 4!
